MPs pass stricter asylum legislation

Ljubljana, 5 March - The National Assembly passed late on Friday changes tightening Slovenia's asylum legislation. The government-sponsored motion was backed 45-4, as the opposition Democrats (SDS) and New Slovenia (NSi) obstructed the vote. The two right-leaning parties believe that the new rules are still too lenient.
