Gay partnerships bill passes first hurdle

Ljubljana, 6 April - The parliamentary Committee for Labour, Family, Social Affairs and the Disabled endorsed on Tuesday evening a bill on domestic partnership, which seeks to provide equality for gay couples but does not deal with adoptions or in-vitro fertilisation. Rather than marriage, the relationship is defined as a partnership.
