Key battle for media independence remembered

Trbovlje, 18 June - One of the main battles for media independence during the 1991 war was remembered on Saturday atop Mt Kum in central Slovenia, where Yugoslav forces attacked the TV tower. PM Miro Cerar, the keynote speaker at the commemoration, praised the courage of Slovenian veterans at the time when the state declared independence.
