Ljubljana, 24 June - Slovenia's first President Milan Kučan believes a key reason why Slovenia opted for independence 25 years ago was the deep crisis Yugoslavia was in at the time. But it was also the determination of Slovenians to continue on the path of democratisation and joining European integration, he said.
