Govt confirms tobacco excise hike

Ljubljana, 5 January - The government confirmed on Thursday a planned two-stage hike in excise duties for tobacco products this year. Finance Minister Mateja Vraničar Erman expects the measure to bring additional EUR 11m to the budget per year, while smokers will have to pay some 10 cents more for a pack.
