Former PM's party seeks referendum over denationalisation

Ljubljana, 9 January - The party of the former Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek will seek to get parliament to call a consultative referendum in a bid to stop denationalisation of natural resources such as forests in kind.

In 2020, Slovenia overconsumed its natural resources that could be renewed the same year already on 26 April, whereas the world arrived at Earth Overshoot Day today, almost a month later than in 2019, foremost due to the coronavirus restriction measures.
