Measures adopted to prevent loss of farmland to forest

Ljubljana, 16 January - The government has adopted a decree that aims to prevent spontaneous afforestation, a process where farmland is gradually overgrown by forest. Dejan Židan, the minister of agriculture, forestry and food, said thousands of hectares of overgrown land could be returned to farmland.
