Centenary of May Declaration celebrated

Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, 28 May - The centenary of the May Declaration, a political programme that articulated the demand that south Slavic nations in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy be united into an autonomous political unit, will be marked on Sunday at the birthplace of Anton Korošec, the Slovenian MP who read the declaration in the Austrian parliament on 30 May 1917.
