Lorenci's take on Macbeth put on at Ljubljana Opera
Ljubljana, 14 May - The Ljubljana SNG Opera and Ballet will stage Giuseppe Verdi's Macbeth, which opens on Thursday. Acclaimed Slovenian theatre director Jernej Lorenci says he has tried to read the tragedy about desiring power through the lenses of the 21st century man.
