Justice committee critical of prison funding cuts planned in 2019

Ljubljana, 6 February - A planned cut in funds for prisons was at the centre of attention as the parliamentary Justice Committee discussed on Wednesday the 2019 supplementary budget. The document raises the Justice Ministry's funds by EUR 400,000 to EUR 77.26m but also lowers the funds of the Prison Administration, which is facing a shortage of staff, by EUR 600,000.
