Petition sparks off debate on education reform

Ljubljana, 11 February - More than 21,000 people have signed a petition urging reform of the Slovenian education system to make it more children friendly. However, two former ministers warn that rash and radical changes may backfire.

A petition calls for less homework, less data memorising at primary and secondary schools.
