Slovenian candidate for EU Commission picked by cabinet

Ljubljana, 1 June - Following the European parliamentary elections on Sunday, a process is now under way to make key political appointments in the EU. As part of that process Slovenia will need to put forward a candidate for its member of the European Commission, a power that is vested in the government.
