Information watchdog says govt proposal entails Slovenia becoming police state

Ljubljana, 30 March - Information Commissioner Mojca Prelesnik warned on Monday against the adoption of government-proposed provisions that give police sweeping powers to control the movement of individuals in the face of the coronavirus epidemic. She said they violated constitutional rights and would de facto turn Slovenia into a police state.
