Parliamentary committee debates motion to give army police powers

Ljubljana, 1 April - The parliamentary Defence Committee is debating on Wednesday the government's proposal to activate a legislative provision giving the military limited police powers to control border areas. It is not yet clear whether it will garner the required two-thirds majority in parliament as part of the opposition is still undecided.
