MPs pass new coronacrisis package, envisage contact tracing app

Ljubljana, 9 July - Parliament has passed a legislative package meant to prepare Slovenia for the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic, including with a legal basis for a contact tracing app - the most controversial item in the bill. The app took flack from left-leaning opposition MPs, but the bill was nevertheless passed in a 50:23 vote on Thursday.
