Slovenia to introduce global award on World Bee Day

Ljubljana, 20 May - A new award will be introduced on World Bee Day on Thursday as Slovenia marks this special UN day dedicated to honey bees and other pollinators, while a number of other events take place around the country. Slovenia is best known for its Carniolan honey bee (Apis mellifera carnica), but it is home to more than 500 species of wild bees.
