Some 800 elderly got free taxi ride to polling stations
Ljubljana, 12 July - Taxi drivers in Slovenian cities and towns offered a hand to care home residents on Sunday by driving almost 800 of them to their polling stations free of charge so that they could have a say in the referendum on the new waters act. This came after some residents failed to request a vote-by-mail ballot due to a mistake by the Labour Ministry.
