In Buenos Aires, Jaklitsch is scheduled to meet with the representatives of three of the many Slovenian associations in Argentina, which bring together the country's Slovenian community.

She will also visit several institutions where Slovenians in Argentina still regularly gather and maintain contact with their homeland.

On Sunday, Jaklitsch will take part in the principal annual event of the Slovenian community in Buenos Aires. The minister's office announced that she will address the attendees and present awards to several Slovenian institutions.

The minister will use her visit as an opportunity to meet the board members of the newly established Slovenian-Argentine Chamber of Commerce and visit a Slovenian school in Buenos Aires.

Jaklitsch will also visit Slovenians living in Mendoza and the city of Bariloche, located in a part of Argentina with a climate and environment strongly reminiscent of Slovenia's Alpine landscape.

The Minister for Slovenians Abroad is scheduled to conclude her visit to South America on 17 October in Brazil, where she is to meet with the Slovenian community in Sao Paulo.
