In the many in-person and virtual meetings he has had with Slovenians outside the country over the past month, Arčon has noticed how very active and hard-working they are.

He said that the recurring theme of these meetings were ways of preserving the Slovenian language and efforts for youth to be more included in them.

Arčon invited the Slovenians in the four countries to promote the European Capital of Culture that Slovenia's Nova Gorica and Italy's Gorizia will host in 2025, and help shape its programme.

He also invited them to attend the biggest get-together of Slovenians living abroad that will be held in July 2025 as part of the European Capital of Culture project.

The get-together will be not just an opportunity to enjoy cultural events but also to network, especially in tourism, said the minister.

The Slovenian community representatives were also addressed by the Slovenian ambassadors and diplomats serving in Belgrade, Sarajevo, Podgorica and Skopje.
