Speaker of upper chamber to run for president on broad enough support
Ljubljana, 25 August - National Council Speaker Alojz Kovšca has expressed the desire to run for president and called on parties to support his bid. He said he would file the candidacy only if backed by a wide range of political parties, movements and distinguished individuals. Without such support it would not make sense to run, he told the press today.
