Strike at food company Žito averted
Ljubljana, 22 October - Workers and managers at Žito, a bread and pasta maker owned by Croatian food company Podravka, have reached a deal to freeze a strike the in-house trade union announced for Monday, 24 October, after the talks on higher pay and several other demands failed two weeks ago while the food group is undergoing restructuring.
