Pay talks with doctors at a standstill, strike looming again

Ljubljana, 23 November - After the government and Fides, the trade union of doctors and dentists, reached a strike-averting agreement in October under which a separate pay tier for the healthcare sector would be created within the single public sector pay system by April 2023, the pay talks between the two parties have reached a standstill and a new strike is looming.
