Record number of women mayors elected

Ljubljana, 5 December - This year's local elections saw the highest number of women mayors and municipality councillors elected since Slovenia's independence, a political science expert told the newspaper Večer. Nearly 14% of Slovenian municipalities will be led by women in the next four years.
