R&D expenditure at record high in 2021 but still far behind EU leaders

Ljubljana, 4 March - Gross expenditure on research and development in Slovenia reached a record EUR 1.1 billion in 2021, up 10% 2020. Despite the growth, Slovenia invests three times less per capita in research and innovation than other leading EU innovator countries, the Statistics Office has said.
