Committee approves aliens act changes, including basic language proficiency requirement
Ljubljana, 27 March - The parliamentary Home Affairs Committee passed changes to the foreigners act on Monday, keeping what is for some NGOs and the coalition Left a contentious condition for foreign workers' family members to pass an A1 Slovenian language test if they want to remain in Slovenia afer a year. The plenary will vote on the new legislation tomorrow.
