Govt wants to introduce Science Day as holiday

Ljubljana, 7 June - The government would like to introduce a new national holiday, Science Day, to popularise science. The new holiday would be observed on 10 November in honour of Žiga Zois (1747-1819), a celebrated Slovenian Enlightenment figure, and would coincide with UNESCO's World Science Day for Peace and Development.
