Vasja Čretnik, the head of marketing at Terme Olimia, told the STA that the blueprints were completed, but a construction company was yet to be selected.

The spa operator hopes to open the hotel in 2025, but this will depend on the availability of construction companies. There are long waiting times and prices have sky-rocketed, Čretnik said.

The hotel is to have around 145 rooms, and a capacity of some 290 adults and 580 children. The food will be child-friendly as well, said Čretnik.

It will also offer a wide array of activities for children, including more play rooms, entertainment areas and creative workshops. It will be linked to the existing water park at Termalija Family Fun.
