Food safety authority closely monitoring mandarins, assuaging general fears
Ljubljana, 7 November - The Administration for Food Safety, which took heavy flak after the summer scandal involving tonnes of pesticide-infested peaches and plums, has stepped up checks up mandarins following a report from Croatia. Its officials are meanwhile assuaging fears related to an increased number of safety notifications, saying food has not become less safe.
