UKC surgeon pleads not guilty in stent corruption case

Ljubljana, 4 December - Matjaž Bunc, a cardiologist at the UKC Ljubljana hospital, pleaded not guilty in Monday's pre-trial hearing at the Ljubljana District Court in a case involving alleged corruption in the supply of stents to the country's biggest hospital. He is charged with arranging a stent deal with a specific company in exchange for EUR 21,700.
