Parties to Barcelona Convention discus environmental measures

Portorož, 5 December - Only if all coastal countries join forces can the Mediterranean Sea be protected, stressed speakers at the opening of the 23rd meeting of the parties to the Barcelona Convention in Portorož on Tuesday. The last couple of years have not been easy for the Mediterranean, said Fatma Varankthe from Turkey, pointing to extreme heat and fires.
