Removal of hazardous silt gets under way

Ljubljana/Prevalje, 11 December - Efforts to remove hazardous silt that accumulated in the wake of the massive August floods in the northern region of Koroška got under way on Monday. On the first day alone, the contractor will remove around 150 tonnes of what has been deemed hazardous waste due to its heavy-metal content, the Environment Ministry told the STA.
