More than 400 cases of people smuggling recorded this year

Ljubljana, 11 December - Slovenian police recorded 408 cases of people smuggling until 8 December, which is double the number recorded in the same period last year. A total of 466 people smugglers were apprehended, of whom 457 were foreigners and nine Slovenians. They were caught transporting 2,777 people across the border illegally, police told the press on Monday.
