Govt to withdraw heating sources ban proposal

Ljubljana, 29 January - The government will remove a provision from the proposed new energy bill that would ban biomass furnaces as the primary heating source in new buildings, Prime Minister Robert Golob announced on Monday. This comes after the opposition New Slovenia (NSi) expressed strong opposition to the measure and even mentioned calling a referendum on the issue.
