Bill requiring consent of locals for asylum centres past first hurdle

Ljubljana, 18 April - The parliamentary Interior Affairs and Local Government Committee backed on Thursday an opposition-sponsored bill under which government plans to erect asylum centres or other accommodation facilities for migrants will require consent from local communities. The decisive vote came from a coalition MP.
