Radwaste silo to start operating in 2028

Ljubljana, 23 April - Construction work on a new nuclear waste repository near Krško will begin in May. The facility is expected to start trial operations in 2027, launching in full the year later, those in charge said on Tuesday after a construction agreement was signed by the Agency for Radioactive Waste Management and a consortium headed by Slovenian company Riko.
