Coalition support for Vesel as EU commissioner looking likely
Ljubljana, 15 May - The deputy groups of the SocDems (SD) and the Left, the two junior coalition parties, met on Wednesday with former Court of Audit head Tomaž Vesel, who has been put forward by the senior coalition Freedom Movement as Slovenia's candidate for European commissioner. The SD announced support for Vesel, while the Left seems to be leaning in favour.
