MPs nearly unanimous in support for referendum on new N-plant

Ljubljana, 23 May - A proposal for a referendum on a planned new nuclear power plant in Krško was backed in parliament on Thursday by all parties bar the Left. While most MPs described a new reactor as the only path to secure power supply, the junior coalition party argued the referendum was about getting a blank cheque for a potentially unviable project.
