Huge crowd welcomes footballers after historic Euro appearance

Ljubljana, 2 July - Several thousand people welcomed the Slovenian men's national football team in Ljubljana on Tuesday to celebrate Slovenia's first progression to knockout stages at major tournaments. Slovenia failed to reach the Euro 2024 quarter-finals after a penalty shootout defeat against Portugal, but the historic first bodes well for the future.
