Govt adopts new plan to boost flailing lynx reintroduction efforts

Ljubljana, 21 November - The government approved on Thursday a comprehensive strategy and action plan for the conservation and sustainable management of the Eurasian lynx population in Slovenia for the period 2024-2033. Despite extensive reintroduction efforts, the species remains at risk of extinction due to inbreeding and population isolation.
