Opposition welcomes higher defence spending plans, coalition reserved
Ljubljana, 6 March - The opposition Democratic Party (SDS) and New Slovenia (NSi) agree with PM Robert Golob that Slovenia will need to increase defence spending to 2% of GDP before the 2030 target year. The coalition Freedom Movement, Social Democrats (SD) and the Left are meanwhile cautious, pointing to the need of a consensus and finding the sources of funding.
