Foreigners' Interest in Slovenian Real Estate Keeps Rising

Ljubljana, 29 December - In line with the EU association agreement, Slovenia opened the real estate market for all citizens of the European Union on 1 February 2003. Between then and 30 November, 51 new applications for real estate were filed at the Justice Ministry, while altogether 176 were filed since February 1999, when the market opened only for some EU citizens.
