Trade Unions Expect to Gain on Importance after EU Accession

Ljubljana, 6 January - Trade unions will gain on importance with Slovenia's accession to the EU, which will coincide with Labour Day. Explaining his claim, president of the Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) Dusan Semolic noted on Tuesday that social welfare and wage policy will remain in Slovenia's domain, so it will not be possible to blame Brussels for mistakes.
