Journalist Petek to Stand for Parliament on SDS Slate

Ravne na Koroškem, 13 July - Miro Petek, a reporter of the Maribor-based paper Vecer who has became the emblem of the efforts for independent journalism after being brutally beaten for what he wrote, has announced to stand for parliament in the 3 October election as an independent candidate on the slate of the opposition Slovenian Democrats (SDS).
