Elections Full of Surprises, Radio Says

Ljubljana, 6 October - In a series of surprises and twists of the 3 October general election, the Liberal Democrats (LDS) lost power after 12 years, the Slovenian Democrats (SDS) reported an overwhelming victory and no new party made it to parliament. Around 60 percent of the 1.6 million electorate came to the polls in the all-time lowest turnout, a radio station comments on the election.
