Election Ushers in 49 New MPS

Ljubljana, 13 October - The Slovenian parliament will start the four-year term with 49 new names in its 90-strong ranks. A total of 74 old MPs stood for reelection, but only 41 were elected in the 3 October general election, according to official results released Wednesday by the National Electoral Commission. The new line-up will convene for its maiden session on 22 October.
