Committee Calls for Retention of Border Cooperation Accords

Ljubljana, 26 May - The parliamentary foreign policy committee has reviewed Slovenia's efforts to keep the border cooperation accord with Croatia even after it joins the Schengen system of common EU border control. The committee has backed government efforts to ensure that the agreement can stay in place after 2007, when Slovenia is expected to join the Schengen system.
