Fmr. Minister Opposes Naming of Envoy for UN Security Council Bid

Ljubljana, 11 December - Foreign Policy Committee chair Ivo Vajgl voiced opposition Thursday to the appointment of Matjaz Sinkovec, a former ambassador to NATO and head of the intelligence agency SOVA, for special envoy in charge of Slovenia's bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council. Slovenia does not need a special envoy for this, he said.
