Deputies Fail to Override Veto on New Municipalities

Ljubljana, 22 April - Parliament was one vote short on Thursday to override the upper chamber's veto on legislative changes creating two new municipalities in Slovenia. Only 45 deputies backed the plan of Ankaran and Mirna to go independent, nine voted against and 11 abstained.
