Govt Files Motion to Restrict Referendum Initiatives

Ljubljana, 10 March - The government forwarded to parliament on Thursday a motion for constitutional changes to referendum rules, which among other things seek to strip deputies of the right to file for a referendum. The motion would require two-thirds majority in parliament to get passed.
