Srot Says Politics to Blame for Mercator Sale

Ljubljana, 21 November - The former boss of beverage group Pivovarna Lasko Bosko Srot has said that he was prevented by politics from offloading a stake in retailer Mercator in 2008 for a substantially higher sum than this is being done today. He argues this would have prevented the seizure of Mercator shares by banks, which are now selling a majority stake with Lasko.
